Kamala Harris’ Stepdaughter Ella Emhoff Shares Heartbreaking Response To Election Loss

Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, has shared a heart-wrenching response to her stepmom’s unsuccessful bid for the presidency.
On Thursday, the 25-year-old shared an Instagram story in which she noted she had “truly no words” for the 2024 election results.
“We are all gonna get through this. It just fucking hurts right now and that’s OK,” Emhoff wrote. “The fight doesn’t stop here. Just check in on your people right now. I’m here for all of you and I love you guys.”
She became visibly emotional during Harris’ Wednesday concession speech at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Her father, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, was seen comforting her at the event.
Having spent the past few years making a name for herself in New York fashion circles, Ella Emhoff made a much-buzzed-about appearance at the Democratic National Convention in August, just weeks after Harris launched her campaign.
Around the same time, she also defended Harris against conservative attacks over her stepmom’s lack of biological children.
“How can you be ‘childless’ when you have cutie pie kids like cole and I,” she wrote in an Instagram story, alluding to her brother, Cole Emhoff. “I love my three parents.”

Although her family won’t be headed to the White House, Ella Emhoff suggested in her Thursday note that Americans haven’t seen the last of her on the campaign trail.
“This is the time to organize, mobilize and make a difference in your communities big or small,” she pledged.
Among those to offer similar sentiments was Hope Walz, the daughter of Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
She wrote in an Instagram story alongside a photo of her father in a blue hoodie with a cat resting on his lap: “the earth keeps spinning, and we live to fight another day.”
